Microsoft gives Windows 10-S customers three-month more free time to switch to full-fledged Windows 10 Pro. That’s a great opportunity if you want to test the new version.
Today Microsoft has announced that the additional color variants of the surface laptop will be available in a further 20 countries. Significantly more important, however, is probably the postponed message that the period in which buyers can upgrade without additional costs from Windows 10 S to the standard Windows-10, was extended to March 1018.
Originally the free upgrade was thought to be only until the end of 2017. With the extension of the changeover period, Microsoft wants to ensure that the buyer has more flexibility. This should also be urgently needed since various tests have shown that Windows 10 S is strongly limited for many applications. And this way customers could give a fair Trial for the Windows 10 Pro operating system since many people are experiencing difficulties. with 10S.
Windows 10s is a much simpler version of windows 10 Pro since it doesn’t support third party application at all. That means that windows 10S is suitable only for very light work and tablets.
As before, the important software can be found only in the windows store and it’s regrettably the only source for additional software in Windows 10 S, which is supposed to increase the security of the Windows.
The updated fee, which will be imposed after March 2018 for an upgrade is about 50 US dollars.
